hi hfx – (1 month already!?)

Waddup peeps,

This week, I wanted to use this space to share some things that I’ve appreciated and done recently; make this a bit more of a two-way street, you know?

I’ve been enjoying sun-bathing in our lovely inner city parks.

Trying out coffee shops I haven’t been to yet, like Byron, and getting ice cream on the boardwalk.

Going on early morning runs and bumping Pop 2 (particularly “Lucky” & “Unlock It” – if you know you know). Ten days by Fred Again is a summer bop as well, and I’ve been rocking with Amine’s most recent project too. Can’t wait for Lorde to drop. Let me know if you listen to that this week.

I love that multiple people this week said to “stop and smell the roses”, because I too have noticed a recent influx in lovely floral scents. That’s so funny.

There’s also been a real sense of community that I’m discovering and appreciating more and more. Bike Again, the Hyrdrostone yard sale, fun events at the Seahorse… It’s so nice to hear about your experiences at these cool spots. My goal this summer is to be more involved in stuff that’s happening around the city, and get out of my comfort zone. Workshops, little social events, the kind of stuff that’ would be on posters ‘s advertised on posters that I usually ignore… lol.

Ironically, in putting up hi hfx posters here and there, I’ve also begun to notice all the other posters way more. There’s a lot of great stuff happening! I’m sure I’ll see you out there.

P.S. This site is starting to get pretty lengthy from all your awesome messages. I don’t think I want to delete any messages, but maybe I’ll start to group them by month or organize them a bit. Or maybe I won’t, and you’ll just have to scroll forever if you ever want to come down here. We’ll see.
